Water Resources Engineer

Select is seeking a Water Resource Engineer to join our consulting team. In this role, you will support the planning, analysis, and modeling of water, storm and sanitary infrastructure systems for a variety of land development and municipal projects. This full-time, permanent position is an excellent opportunity for a technically skilled engineer who is passionate about water systems and thrives in a collaborative consulting environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams on water resource and land development and municipal projects
  • analyze and model stormwater management systems, water distribution networks, and sanitary sewer systems
  • utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D for technical documentation and layout coordination
  • perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using XPSWMM, Mike+, and WaterGEMS software
  • conduct technical research and analysis to support innovative, cost-effective engineering solutions
  • troubleshoot modeling challenges and propose practical solutions
  • maintain accurate records of modeling results, design iterations, and project documentation

What You Bring:

  • degree in Civil Engineering or Water Resources Engineering (or equivalent)
  • minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in water resources or civil infrastructure engineering within a consulting environment
  • registration with APEGA in good standing
  • P. Eng., P. L. (Eng.) designation or eligible
  • proficiency in stormwater modeling and water network modeling is required
  • strong working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, XPSWMM, Mike+, and/or WaterGEMS is essential
  • experience in report and technical writing
  • strong understanding of hydrology, hydraulics, and servicing design standards

Valuable Assets:

  • previous experience in a team environment, with excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • strong leadership and project management skills
  • ability to manage time effectively
  • proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam, Microsoft Outlook and other MS Office tools
  • proficiency in contract administration and preparing contract documents
  • valid driver license
