Creation of a Conceptual Scheme and Land Use Bylaw Amendment

Select Engineering Consultants, on behalf of TAG development, is preparing two planning applications in Parkland County: A Conceptual Scheme and a Land Use Bylaw amendment. The applications are for a 106 ha parcel of land in Acheson, located directly east of Bevington road, and north of Highway 16A.

A Conceptual Scheme is a non-statutory planning document that provides a policy framework that guides future subdivision and development of a specific area of land.  The proposed concept (see below) allows for a mix of Business Industrial and Medium Industrial Lots with stormwater management ponds.

Currently the lands are districted for Industrial land uses and have a Reserved Development Overlay. The Reserved Development Overlay stays in place until a Conceptual Scheme is approved for the area and would be removed as part of this application.

Public Open House

We are hosting a Public Open house on December 15, 2025 to share project information and the proposed development concept. The event will be hosted between 5:00pm and 6:30 pm at the Nova Inn Acheson (26530 115 Ave, Acheson AB) with residents being able to drop-in between those hours to view display boards, learn more about the proposal, talk to the project team, and provide comments.
