A virtual Public Information Meeting was held on October 13, 2022 for a proposed Ville Giroux Area Structure Plan and Land Use Bylaw amendment. The meeting provided information to the public and gathered input on the proposed application, prior to submission to the City of St. Albert.
The proposed amendment will redistribute the future land uses in the west portion of the neighbourhood. Also proposed:
- A change to the High Density Residential (R4) district to allow for building height up to 65 m and maximum density of 200 units/ha.
- A 25% decrease in the parking requirements for apartments on this site.
- A change in the podium height from 3 storeys to 2 storeys for buildings on this site.
